The Challenge
The municipality of Reilingen, which is serviced by Stadtwerke Hockenheim, was confronted with a burst pipe: The DN200 cast iron pipe laid in 1976 had to be restored with a new fitting made of GGG DN200 due to damage in order to be able to continue to supply the residents with drinking water.
The Solution
Aliaxis offers a fast and safe solution with the FRIASAFE pipe connector out of the FRIACORE product range. FRIASAFE is not only light-weight, which makes assembly and handling much easier for the installer but also demonstrates its ergonomic strengths through simple installation – from a central point from above without bending over. Especially in cramped and narrow conditions in the pipe trench, the radial closure technology enables comfortable work.
The Realisation
After a house connection was uncovered and examined for analysis, it was ensured that the main line was in good condition. This meant that the insertion of the transition piece could begin. After cleaning the pipe surface of the existing pipe, FRIASAFE DN200 could be easily slid over ergonomically with the help of the hook spanners. The radial closure technology guarantees dry and dirt-free hands at all times, even in muddy trenches filled with water.
The Conclusion
Stefan Wirth, water master at Stadtwerke Hockenheim and responsible for the drinking water supply in the municipality of Reilingen, expressly praised FRIASAFE of the FRIATEC brand: "FRIASAFE is an ingenious system.
