The support sleeves from d 450 consist of 2 half shells and 2 clamping wedges (L1 = wedge length).
Areas of application
SHVA are available from d 40 to d 710; from d 63 in SDR 11 or SDR 17. They are used to prevent the PE pipe from cold flowing under the pressure of the fitting seal. With thin-walled PVC pipes < SDR 21, SHVA counteract the mechanical constriction of the pipe.
In order to compensate for pipe tolerances and ovality, the tension of the support sleeve is applied by one wedge from d 63 and two wedges from d 450.
SHVA are made of V2A steel.
Processing instructions
SHVA are mandatory when using FRIAGRIP, Ultra-Range and Wide-Range fittings on PE-HD/PEX pipes in order to prevent the PE pipe from cold flowing.
SHVA are also mandatory when working with thin-walled PVC pipes < SDR 21
Installation is carried out in accordance with the current FRIAGRIP installation instructions.
Special SHVA dimensions, for example for thin-walled PVC pipes < SDR 21 or other SDR levels, can be manufactured on request.
Good reasons for the SHVA support sleeve
Only by using SHVA can a permanently tight connection be created with PE-HD/PEX pipes.
SHVA and FRIAGRIP / Ultra-Range / Wide-Range are a coordinated system approved by the manufacturer.
Support sleeves from other manufacturers may fail, which can lead to leaks or loss of function.
The overall length, wall thickness, wedge length and angle are optimized for the respective pipe diameters and designed for the FRIAGRIP / Ultra-Range / Wide-Range fitting ranges.
