Areas of Application

The FRIALEN-Coupler UB NXT SDR11 is used for cut and lay pipe connections.

Additional areas of application:

  • Pipe connectors (gas, water and 100% H2)
  • Replacement of pipe sections
  • Subsequent connection to a pipe system
  • Sealing option for minor pipe damage

Assembly Instructions

The pipe ends are joined to the FRIALEN coupler UB NXT SDR11 by electrofusion welding – tight and longitudinally force-fit.

The pipe ends are prepared according to the general installation instructions (see “Assembly Instructions” for “FRIALEN-Safety Fittings”)

This involves removing the oxide layer of the pipe end and cleaning of pipe surface. Please note that spigot of valves must be at least half as long as the coupler. The center strip is embossed to make it easy to mark the peeling area.

For removal of the oxide layer, FWSG scraper tools are available which facilitate a uniform swarf removal and a reproducible quality of the fusion area preparation.
